Pathumwan Princess Hotel is a very good hotel and a short stroll to everywhere. MBK shopping centre is attached to it, and skytrain station (National Stadium) as well.
Look it up at www.agoda.com, their rate in September is around 55 quid for 2 including b/f, or just google it to find the best rate.
..or stay in Khao San area, there are plenty of hotels there,. It%26#39;s very lively, lots of bars, pubs and shopping. It%26#39;s also close to the river, Grand Palace but not on Skytrain. Depends what you prefer
Hi
Or try the Novotel Siam Square. 10 min walk to MBK, The Skytrain and Siam Paragon Shopping Centre.
Lots to see and do - good area !
Enjoy
im not really concerned about the hotel, just the area really. which area would you say is best for all the attractions i mentioned?
thanks
Suhumvit fits what you ask though Bkks sightseeing attractions are mostly over by the river (Chao Phraya). But that%26#39;s no problem with the sky train on your dootstep at nana/asoke stations on Suhkumwit.
To the river for Grand palace/wat arun/chinatown last stop on the silom line at Thaksin bridge and then jump on a ferry at the pier out side the station.
