Where is victory monument???

Hi all,

My husband and I are visiting Thailand this November and as part of our trip we are heading north to Elephantstay in Ayutthaya. We have been told by Elephantstay that we can take a (public) mini van from Victory monument in Bangkok to get up there.

Apparently the mini van leaves every 30 mins or when it is full. As we%26#39;ve not visited Bangkok before we have no idea where Victory monument is???? Is this an icon in Bangkok and a well known landmark or will we have trouble finding it????

We are staying in The Bel aire Princess just off the Sukhumvit road.

If you look at BTS map in their website, you%26#39;ll see Victory Monument.
