Kids at Sala Samui

We%26#39;re travelling to Koh Samui with our 8 year old daughter in October and tossing up whether to stay at Sala Samui or Zazen. We don%26#39;t need child care - but would like it if there were a couple of kids at the pool for our daughter to strike up a friendship with. Anyone know if there are many kids staying at either resort?

I am sure there are a few kids in both resorts (even though both are not really made for kids), all depends on the nationality you prefer your daughter gets aquainted with. European holidays are over at that time I believe....thus you might have only a few kids.

I stayed at the sala in june - whilst I think the kids would be welcomed by the hotel and staff- the hotel was full of couples and honeymooners and around the pool area tended to be very quiet. There were some kids that came for a couple of days from oz for a family wedding but they were the only kids i saw around the pool. I think it would be fine to stay here but t probably only a slim possibility of your daughter meeting friends. Please note I did stay here outwith the uk school holiday period so that could explain the lack of kids.
