Do you tip for services in Thailand and what amount?

Hi,

Tipping does not seem to be expected, but whenever we had good service we gave a tip.

We always tip the room maid , they do such a good job.

I agree with Lindy, we always leave our coin but if the meal and service are better than average we would leave more eg 100baht

most places when eating out have a service charge added to the bill. If we thought the service was excellent we would add a little more or if there was no service charge added would tip.
