October/November Holiday advice

Hi, First time to Thailand and we are planning to go end October beginning of November for 2 weeks.

Could I ask help please on the following:

Hubby dives where is a good place for diving near or around Phuket?

Would like a resort on lovely beach - but not too busy.

Walk to restaurants etc but come back to tranquil hotel!

Any advice would be most welcome.

Have a look at The Katathani on kata noi beach. Or Mom Tri%26#39;s Villa Royale also at kata noi but not sat directly on the beach like the katathani. Also MTVR quite pricey depending on your budget very nice though.

Looks really nice, but not so sure about all those steps though!!

Also been reading a bit and not sure that we should come in October at all now! As the information everywhere seems to indicate that October is a very wet month and we defo need some sun after the summer we%26#39;ve had here!!!

The best diving for your hubby would be at the world famous Similan islands located 90 km%26#39;s north of Phuket. But the way to do this is off a a min 4 day Liveaboard cruise. Not sure if you as a non diver would enjoy this though?

Alternatively there are daytrip and more local dive sites (1/2 day tours) which can easily be arranged by a Dive Center located close to where you are staying. The 1/2 day tours are generally arranged by some centers from Kata, Kata Noi and Karon beaches. There are so many reputable dive operators on Phuket and I recommend that when you arrive you and your hubby check them out first. You will get a gut feel of who you would prefer to dive with then.
