which 1 better for honeymoon..phuket or krabi?

i%26#39;ve plan for my honeymoon next year to be in thailand and i am interested to go to phuket or krabi.. ( within August to December maybe) but i couldnt decide which one is the most wonderful place for honeymooner. could you guys please suggest or give your opinion which one is better for great honeymoon.. either phuket or krabi...

i would say Krabi is a bit more special for honeymooners. but wherever you decide on, stick away from September is possible - it can be very rainy!

i %26#39;ve been to both places,krabi exactly 1 month ago %26amp; phuket before tsunami 2004. my advice krabi AONANG very reserved for naturally landscape such as karst/limestone seen everywhere inland or surrounding islands(i love that scenery),whereas phuket PATONG very commercialize sea activities and many more shops around.

I would also say Krabi Raillay is especially nice for a honeymoon. We stayed at rthe Rayavadee which was paradise i have some pictures under my review. I hired a speedboat from here and we had a romantic day out visiting the off shore islands and phi phi it was wonderfull .We also visited the hong islands from here which are beautifull and chicken island tup island and poda. Some days there was only us on these beaches. I am not so sure during monsoon season if you can do all of these trips. We went in November which is the start of the high season and the weather was perfect with calm seas. I should imagine weather wise the seas could be choppy from August- october you would have to ask other TA members advise who have travelled in these months as it is the monsoon season.

If you ae going for two weeks, why not split the holiday into a week at Krabi and a week in Phuket, you don%26#39;t have to stay in Patong, there are many other beautiful places to stay in Phuket.

You could hire a driver for around 2500 baht from Krabi to Phuket and the journey takes around 3 hours.

Krabi %26amp; especially West Railay are better places for your honeymoon. We got married on the beach(Railay Bay Resort) at West Railay 2 weeks ago %26amp; then stayed on for a few more days. It was beautiful %26amp; very romantic. Patong is great but not very romantic!

There%26#39;s heaps of fun stuff to do on Railay too like hiring kayaks, exploring the caves, walking to other beaches, take a longtail to Ao Nang for the day, take a speed boat ride to check out other islands further away. Heaps!!

Disagree...phuket is vibrant, exciting, busy in parts...quiet in others. Patong is still a trip after 20 years...Surin is lovely, Nai Harn is lovely.....its all about what you want...quiet or busy. Quiet is nice but can be boring ...busy is exciting ..but can be stressful...
