Hi,
Just wondering if any-one can help. We have booked to go to the Burasari in March and I have heard mix reactions about the Standard rooms. If it was up to my husband and I we propbably would have stayed at the Patong Merlin or Holiday Inn but going with a couple other people who had to go Single Share so could be too fancy. Can any-one tell me if some standard rooms are better than others or are there any other better wings than others. I tried to ring the Hotel and the lady told me all the old rooms are the standard rooms so I don%26#39;t know if that is very promising. Please help, i can%26#39;t stay somewhere dirty, i%26#39;m a little obsessive compulsive.
HELP ME!!
Burasari Superior Rooms (Standard)
Hi Lanzio,
I have stayed twice at the Burasari and another two couples that i have recommended the resort to have as well march/april and june this year.
i am also booked to stay in again this November however only in a deluxe room due to being on bit of a budget for 3 and half weeks.
i have already stayed in a superior room which is on the oasis wing and have stayed in a grand premier room on the chandara lagoon wing. grand premier is absolutely beautiful, if you have the extra cash i%26#39;d definitely stay in a grand premier pool view room.
if you are a little obsessive compulsive you won%26#39;t want to stay in the superior. stay in any room on the chandara lagoon wing modern/new rooms and very spacious.
any of these rooms below are the best at the resort and are located on the chandara lagoon wing-
Premier room 31sq.m 鈥?have no balcony
Grand premier room 41sq.m 鈥?I stayed in this room, was on the first level and had small table and chairs on a balcony out the back
Grand premier pool view room 50sq.m 鈥?balcony + day bed over looking pool
Elite room exactly same as grand premier pool view room 50sq.m 鈥?balcony + day bed
Grand premier pool access 40sq.m
In my opinion the pool access suites aren鈥檛 worth the cost because you don鈥檛 really have that much privacy unless your blinds are shut and you don鈥檛 really want to have them shut in the day light.
My friends have stayed in the pool view and loved it. It has a daybed with mosquito net out on the balcony which is great if you want relax out there.
As i have stayed on both sides of the resort is older side is called the oasis wing which is still good value for money if your on a budget , however it is not as modern as the lagoon Chandra wing which I highly recommend.
They have a pool bar and there is also a bar area which have beautiful Thai featured couches and comfy chairs where you can relax and have a drink or 2. They also have happy hour.. It located near the restaurant where you have breakfast. breakfast is fantastic too!
The Burasari is located down the side street opposite the Holiday Inn, once inside the resort you can鈥檛 hear any noise, so peaceful especially with all the water fountains around the pools.
a very lovely, peaceful hotel with no young children.
you can find pictures of the burasari in my pictures.
if you have any more questions, feel free to ask :-)
p.s you won%26#39;t be disappointed staying on the chardara lagoon wing.
best of luck

Burasari Superior Rooms (Standard)
thanks for that,
Is there superior rooms in the chandra wing. If so I will request that. Going in March so that should be enough notice for those rooms, what do you think? Also how far is the shops, Mum and I are shopaholics and can you suggest any nice Seafood Restaurants.
Lanz
Hi Lanz,
You should be find to book now, i would advise you not leave it too late, i booked last month and was able to book early november but as i return back again in late november i%26#39;m unable to get into any of the good rooms on the chandara wing. all booked out already so i have to stay at the Impiana Cabana which is much more expensive.
there are no superior rooms on the best side (chandara lagoon wing)
the less costly room on chandara lagoon wing is the premier room which has no balcony. but if thats ok with you then go for it. very nice and modern. if you want a balcony then grand premier is what you are after.
if you this is over the budget and have to go lower and stay on the oasis side stay in a deluxe room (these rooms are more traditional thai and not as new but still nice which has a balcony overlooking the pool or the garden area as they say, i will find out in november.
the superior looks over another hotel and it isn%26#39;t very nice at all.
There is beautiful restaurants everywhere along the beach side and a lot of them are seafood. all fantastic as well. i especially enjoyed eating at the holiday inn%26#39;s front restaurant. absolutely superb food. i ate there twice. seafood marinara was my fave :-)
and shopping is everywhere along the main road and around the back which is extremely convienent to enter both ways from the Burasari as the reosrt is located in the side street of the beach road (2 min walk to the beach) and you can get to the back street where you will find cheaper shopping. however this year i will be going to phuket town to shop before i do patong.. where they have a weekend market.. its mean%26#39;t to be much cheaper than patong.
i also forgot to mention to you before that the Burasari%26#39;s Mini bar in your room is complimentary on a daily basis and is stocked up everyday so even if you have left over鈥檚 hide them in your suit case to be sure it鈥檚 filled up completely the next day ;-)
From memory they provide you with 2 x chips, 2 x kit kat (fun size) solo but I think it鈥檚 another brand, pepsi/coke, Heineken beer and also another alcoholic bev so that鈥檚 for two people but if your having 3 people they will probably times everything by 3.
feel free to ask if anything else
cheers,
izzy
p.s sorry about the 3 x people thing.i know you aren%26#39;t sharing a room with 3 people lol. my apologies.
have a look at their website and you will get to see what the rooms look like.
izzy
What i meant was my hubby and I are sharing, my mum is in a single share and my hubbys best mate is in a single. The pictures of the Superior Rooms on the internet don%26#39;t look that bad but for the extra 25 bucks a nite it might be worth going to the Premier true.
Lanzio
oh i see, definitely worth the extra $25 for you and your hubby.
best of luck.
regards,
izzy
