Recommendations for a Hotel with a SEA VIEW - please . . .

Some friends are coming, want to say in Patong, Karon or Kata area - and want (demand!) a sea view from their room/suite.

I live here 鈥?so tend to not stay in hotels in Patong. I have a few ideas, but I bet there are many that I don%26#39;t know about. Help!

I think all the rooms at Karon Beach Resort have sea view, not sure about Kata Beach resort, some of the rooms at Katathani have seaview

Marina Phuket has ocean view rooms (2nd row), and suites (front row).

Hilton has seaview rooms, Movenpick has seaview rooms. The Front Village, Central Karon Villas (now called Centara), Meridien and Merlin Beach. The Amari, Holiday Inn, Seaview (south end Patong). The Novotel, Club Andaman and the Andaman Beach Suites (north end of Patong). I think there are more, but hope this helps.

Lee and I seem to be following each other around, (Hi Lee) .

The Kata Beach Hotel has mainly seaviews and the Karon Beach

Hotel has all seaview rooms.

I loved the food at the Karon Beach Hotel, and we stayed at the Kata Beach Hotel in a sea view room , it was on the side and although

the room was ok I did not class it as a true seaview room.

The Marina does have sea view rooms and it is a great hotel.

It depends on finances and just exactly what you are looking for.

We had the Jungle room at the Marina and loved it!!!

Just thought, The Holiday In in Patong has seaview rooms and is a fantastic hotel right in the middle of everything.

It is probably our favourite hotel in Thailand.

Its just we have been trying different places lately but this is really a beautiful hotel with the best management and staff!!!!

It%26#39;s just really hard to get a booking for the seaview rooms though.

Every room at the Amari has a sea view, the deluxe rooms have the best of these.

Great! I quite like the Amari and the Novotel (in spite of the hill - I think the views esp from the restaurant are fantastic!).

Thanks again to everyone - happy to hear of even more - next week I%26#39;ll drive around and look at all of them. Old friends coming and I want their visit to be perfect.

Be careful with the Novotel - Rooms in Block 6 have no real sea view and Block 7 is very restricted - from the balcony you look over a car park and tennis court. to a restricted water view of Patong and there is no view from inside the rooms in Block 6 %26amp; 7, the tennis court is used from early in the morning, so it creates noise. Also rooms need refurbishment and bathroom has a shower in a bath with a plastic curtain that floods the floor. We booked well in advance for a room with an unobstructed sea view. We were very annoyed at the way we were treated - I will post a review for this hotel - yes it does have amazing views if you get the right room but we would never return - very busy hotel, no pool chairs etc. tour groups booked in en masse into the blocks with good views, the only decdent pool is th middle one and the chairs get taken with towels left probably from first light in the morning.

The Impiana Cabana is located on Patong Beach the only resort in patong on the beach, some rooms have beach front sea view rooms. We are staying here in November. All the reviews on here seem to be good!
