We are a married couple in our 50s and have two hotels to choose from The Hilton Resort or The Sofitel Centra Resort.
We like to walk around town on our holiday and take in some shoping and have a meal out from our hotel in the evening and a few drinks also meet people and have a laugh so not to high class a resort that is going to make us uneasy yet I do like good service and corteous staff within the hotel.
Anyone been to both resorts and which one would you recomend for a married couple with no children going on holiday with them.
Both resorts seem to be well favoured on the tripadvisor website so I am unable to make up my mind between them both.
Any replys greatly appreciated
Which Hotel Do I Book in Hua Hin
Hard to choose for someone else!
The Hilton is High rise, the Sofitel two storey only. Both are right in town, facing the beach, and handy to bars and restaurants. You can also visit the hotel you are not staying in, of course, so really important to get the right one I expect!
The Sofitel has lovely grounds and a 5 star ambience, in a unique style of building.
The Hilton could be anywhere in the world, and is a bit cavernous and that helps to hide kids.
I love the Sofitel because it%26#39;s classy (but not snobby), but I would also go outside to have a laugh, shop and eat cheaply.
Cheers and have a ball!
Which Hotel Do I Book in Hua Hin
We are going to the Sofitel next week. We were trying to decide between the Sofitel and the Anantara. We went for the Sofitel because of its character and the excellent reviews - our thinking was we have stayed in modern hotels before so we shoud take the opportunity to stay somewhere with more character for a change.
Sofitel Sofitel Sofitel :)
The Sofitel is a lovely hotel and you will not be disappointed. It has old world charm and beautiful grounds and swimming pool. It is very central to the restaurant and shopping area.
We are staying in the Sofitel in September. Picked it because it looks like a lovely hotel. I love the hotels in Thailand. We did the Anantara last time but we had a few problems booking the room this time for the 4 of us (our two boys are coming with us) so we had to look else where, shame in one way but we are really looking forward to trying the Sofitel - it looks great.

Between those I would certainly say the Sofitel, it is a superb resort hotel and I am sure you will love the whole style and decor and overall ambiance.
Can i throw in the Hyatt regency simply gorgeous and GREAT value. Its slightly out of town but not even 5 mins in a tuk tuk.
I too am a great fan of the Hyatt Regency but I think Birdie can only choose between those 2.
I%26#39;ve just come back from the Hyatt in hua hin recommend this hotel great gardens and a massive pool staff lovely we walked up the beach to the sofitel looked nice but on the beach there were loads of sellers and just down a bit on the beach it looked like a shanty town (there were umbrella every where all cramed together did not look nice )
I had a fantastic holliday in Sofitel Central Hua Hin and make every effort to assist in making my stay enjoyable. The beachfront location and hotel grounds and pools give plenty of variety for how to spend your day lazing around. The food is wonderful and I would stay there again any chance I got.
