Anniversary - Looking for a luxurious getaway

My husband and I are looking to take a quick (3-4 day) trip to celebrate our honeymoon. We%26#39;d like a beautiful beach resort with an unspoiled beach, top notch accommodations, and, also important, convenient to get to from KL (spending half of our time traveling isn%26#39;t my idea of relaxing). With all the options in Thailand, we have no idea where to start!

We%26#39;ve been to Koh Samui already, and to be honest, we were a little let down. We are thinking maybe Pattaya or Krabi might be a better option. Any recommendations for a luxurious getaway spot? Thanks in advance!

Anniversary - Looking for a luxurious getaway

Hi TXEpat,

What ever you do please don%26#39;t even think of Pattaya! The place is sleezy, dirty and lack any charm. If you want to stay close to Bangkok then I would recommend Samet island, especially Le Vimarn on Ao Prao (http://www.samedresorts.com/). They share this private beach with 2 other hotels but it is much more quiet on their side of the beach. Travelling from Bangkok inh a private car transfer is around 3 1/2 boat transfer from Ban Pae to the island included.

Hope this helps and happy anniversary!

BTW, forgot to mention the amazing sunset view and the to-die-for Spa treatments.

Try phi phi island villageon Ko phi phi island

Not sure how easy it is t get there from KL,but its like heaven on earth..i have a review of it on TA...

Check it out!

Amanpuri or Trisara on Phuket are both exceptional villa resorts with very nice private beaches (though tecnically all beaches in Thailand are public - but these beaches have very limited access through security zones).

You can find reviews of both at:

Thanks everyone for your replies! I%26#39;ve checked out all your recommendations, and while we haven%26#39;t decided yet, they all look fabulous. Thanks for the advice!
