Hello there... I was hoping somebody could help me out. I will be staying in Chiang Mai city for a couple of nights next week but am trying to find a place to stay for another day or two that is in the mountains/forests away from everything.. preferably with views, waterfalls,trails etc. Im happy with the city hotel but am having trouble finding one in the %26#39;countryside%26#39;. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Korp kun khrap.... and good luck for your travels.
Looking for great ';nature'; hotel
If you want to stay out in nature area, you should go to Chiang Dao. It is one hour drive from Chiang Mai City. Nearby you will find the famous Chiang Dao caves, waterfalls, elephant training center, forests and the Chiang Dao Mountain. The third highest mountain in Thailand. I have two suggestions for you. Chiang Dao%26#39;s Nest or Marisa Resort %26amp; Spa. Both have websites or otherwise you could check the reviews. In March and June I stayed at Marisa Resort %26amp; Spa. I have not been to Chiang Dao%26#39;s Nest. You can also check the reviews on tripadvisor. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks for that Tony.. Marisa looks like the place to check out, hopefully they have rooms available at such late notice, if they don%26#39;t i will probably pay a visit to the area anyway to get a feel for the place. Cheers
