Hua Hin with young children

We will be in Hua Hin in November, and was wandering if we should take a stroller for our 2 year old. Are the footpaths wide enough. We are not sure if it would be appropriate and would appreciate any feedback. Also any feedback on kid friendly day trips, personal tour guides, and tailors. Thanks

Hua Hin with young children

Hi aalewis,

on our last trip my youngest son was 3/4 years old. We did not take a pushchair (stroller) and had no problems. I don%26#39;t know if a pushchair would have worked really as some of the sidewalks are a bit on the uneven side.

My son loved the elephant ride, he has asked to do it again in September.

Hua Hin with young children

Hi aalewis,

We visited Hua Hin last September with our two children then aged almost 3 and 5. We had a fantastic time and the kids just loved it. Where are you staying? We took our stroller with us and found it was very worthwhile as the kids can get tired - it was also useful when at the markets etc to put things in. We took the kids on the elephant ride and they just loved it - apart from that they loved the pool and spent a lot of time swimming. The only time we had trouble with the stroller was in Bangkok which was very difficult as the footpaths are terrible. There is a large Tesco( kind of like Coles or Safeway)in Cha Am which was useful for nappies, bottled water etc. We took our kids on Tuk Tuk%26#39;s in Hua Hin and they also loved that. Most of the restaurants cater well to children and have a western menu if ou have a toddler who doesn%26#39;t like Thai food. The Thai people are just beautiful with kids and this is probably the thing our kids remember most abut their trip. They often talk about some of the people they met whilst there. We had such a great time we are heading back to Thailand in September this year - this time we are trying Phuket. Feel free to let me know if you want any other info.
