Leave for Pkt tonight

Well, finally here.

We take off ex Perth, Tiger air, tonight, and all that planning actually finally starts.

Can%26#39;t wait - %26#39;got some money in my pocket%26#39; !

This is our %26#39;whistlestop%26#39; tour - a bit different.

Will probably not get much chance to log in whilst away, as still have a bit of work to do each couple of days - hopefully not too much.

We head to Singapore, arrive there abt 3am, then depart to Pkt abt 7.00, should be at out hotel - Ban Thai - by 9.00 and having brekky somewhere close not long after.

3 nights in Pkt, then head to Koh Samui for 3 nights, then ferry/bus to Hua Hin for a couple of nights, then to Bkk for 4 nights, then back to Singa for 2 nights, then home.

Sounds rushed, but not really, we wanted to see as much as possible, having seen Pkt , Bkk %26amp; Singa before, with good relax breaks in between. Staying at nice/great hotels as we go. The 4 of us going get along well (family) and all enjoy a good time.

Looking forward to :

the Saturday night meet at Molly Malones, looks like a big crowd of TA%26#39;s,;

will hire a car to check out changes to Pkt and surrounds since last trip and to try a few new places out of Patong;

4 nights at KS, and driving around the island;

the ferry ride to Chumpong, then Hua Hin - a brother-in-law has just finished a new house there and am looking forward to seeing it, have only seen pics so far;

the day with Tong to River Kwai and other, ex Bkk;

just BKk;

and Singapore chilli crab;

Not to mention a few drinks, with existing and yet-to-be-met friends, the stories we tell, etc

All packed and ready to go.

Just have to survive the work day here - cold, rainy and miserable, and worse - busy.

You certainly have packed in a lot for your trip - have a great time - Where are you staying in Samui?

We have just under 8 weeks before we fly out for Phuket %26amp; Samui for our honeymoon. You will love the Banthai.

we chose the Iyara Hotel %26amp; Plaza, north end of Cheweng,

looks like it will suit us,

am [articularly looking forward to that part of the trip as none of us have been to KS before, and have been gleaming lots from the forums.
