any 17- 21 yr old pplz wanna meet up in patong one night for a load of drinking down bangla road....we got 3 schoolies from Australia travelling looking for others our age to meet chill with.

Be careful fellers, there is a lot of fun to be had in Patong, but it can also be really dangerous. Take this from someone who lives here, not someone who just makes it up because he is an old fart.
I had a family on the yacht a while ago, and the two young fellers, around your age, had been drugged, lost about 4 hours, lost their money and jewellery and found themselves back at their hotels, in different tuk tuks, covered in bruises. I reckon they where lucky, it could have been a lot worse. They had started out drinking in Bangla Road, they think it was a British guy that spiked their drinks.
Some of the drinkers there can be quick to violence as well, both Thais and tourists, if you say the wrong thing. I know some other guys, also recently on the yacht, who were chased down the road by a lady boy with a broken bottle, for saying the wrong thing.
You can have a great time, please just be careful.
I know a couple of good bars, off Bangla Road, to hang out in and where the guys will point you in the right direction for whatever serious mischief you are planning (as if we don%26#39;t know). They are the Dingo Bar (Trent) in the Lady Boy Soi (I forget the proper name of the soi, a soi is a lane), which is where you will see the ladyboys dancing at night . If you don%26#39;t know which are the ladyboys, you are already in serious trouble. The other is the Crow%26#39;s Nest Bar (Steve), in Soi Sea Dragon, a bit further up Bangla Road.

Have a great time - try to pay cash for your drinks at the hotel, or you will be in deep sh.. when you get the bill.My son %26amp; his mates went there for 12 days and spent $3,000 each- mostly on grog. They had a ball, but regret not actually slowing down and enjoying Phuket and all the great things it has to offer (besides partying)
Treat the girls nice, please. The Thais are lovely people.

We are pretty heavy drinkers back in aus so we are very careful with our beers shouldnt be a big problem with spiking for us but thanks nyways. I will check out those bars while we are there.
Oh ye and i wouldnt mind a good cooking school actually.....if its like a 1 day course or so. Im an apprentice chef so that would be awesome??

For great music and more ';local'; flavour try Timber Hut in Phuket town. Just follow the man%26#39;s very good advice - be careful what you say and don%26#39;t tread on anyone%26#39;s toes - literally. Thais smile alot (you%26#39;ll see hordes of pacakge tourists like the proverbial grinning cheshire trying to emulate the ';karma';) - even when they%26#39;re angry. the first you will know is when they pull a knife or not infrequently - a gun out.....
Have fun - i%26#39;m v jealous. Visited first time when I was 19 with a back back and 拢200 which lasted 6 weeks or so.... and i%26#39;m still recovering. By the way.....EK from Garden Bar if you%26#39;re reading this.....I still miss ya even after 23 years!!!
Just in case you venture into town....gonna give you the number of driver I use in Phuket - Khun Punk (yes, thet%26#39;s really his name), he%26#39;s a local lad who knows pretty much everyone in Phuket + where to go and avoid.

and finally.....
the only way to avoid sleeping with ladyboys is:
- never sleep with anyone in thailand (- at least 99% effective in my experience)
- never sleep with anyone over 5%26#39;5'; (not as certain as sleeping alone, but moves the odds back in your favour)
