Ko Samui First Time

Hi,

I would%26#39;nt worry about the weather in October too much - very similar both Phuket and Samui, somerain, fair amounts of sun too.

Also, Samui will be pretty quiet then so finding somewhere to stay will not be a problem. There are so many places to stay and budgets that it is difficult to advise you on exactly where. Also, do you want lots of nightlife on your doorstep? Let us know your budget and preference for peace and quiet vs lively and we%26#39;ll get back to you.

Ko Samui First Time

Ko Samui if you%26#39;re a younger traveller probably.

Go to Lamai, not Chaweng as its nicer. I take it you%26#39;re flying to Bangkok first? If so then just book a flight from there and DONT book accomodation too as they will rip you off.

Just get a flight that gets you there in the morning and then find a hotel/resort/beach hut when you get there.

There a all types of accomodation to suit everyone from 5* to 1*!!! Hot Water and Cold Water?! Depends what your preferences are.

hi there. I am also going to ko samui for the first time. It is me and 2 buddies of mine. We are actually going for the half moon party on October 19th and will be in Ko Samui from the 16th of October to the 21st 2007.

I would like to know recommendations on the nightlife during that time, and also the best resort with nightlife around.

Our budget is not set and we are open for 5star resorts. We want to stay in a resort room beach front villa. Also we want to stay as close to the nightlife in ko samui and koh panga.

Would love to hear your suggestions on accomodation, nightlife and weather during this time.

Regards,

Faiz

the liveliest spot on samui is chaweng hands down.lamai also has decent nightlife but chaweng is the place to be.

Thanks for the info. a couple of more things:

1) what would be the best place to stay around chaweng?

2) how is the weather in mid-october?

cheers,

faiz

Hey....

Thanks for the input everyone. The Budget isnt really an issue maybe like a AU$100-$150 per night?

I am actually meeting my boyfriend and his brother over there so obviously need two rooms. I have also heard that you can sometimes get hotels that have 2 bedrooms is that the case???

Yes I am looking for somewhere that has some form of night life because i will unfortunatetly miss the half moon party.

Im not flying directly to Bangkok I feel into Phuket. So im thinking maybe its just easier to stay in Phuket for the ten days and maybe do Pi Pi island for a couple of days??????

The hotel thing Im finding a little scary as reccomendations vary so much. I do want to stay on the beach for a reasonable price but it also has to clean and have a big pool and lots of sun beds. Apart from that Im not really fussed......

THANKS again everyone
