We have one free night in Bangkok on our first visit there in early October. We were thinking of doing a dinner cruise but, I figure that even on the better dinner cruisers, the food is not going to be as good as at a restaurant. So we are now thinking of doing a cocktail cruise on a boat like the Manohra, followed by dinner at a restaurant like Salathip at the Shangri La Hotel.
Can anyone give me an idea of how expensive Salathip is 鈥?what would the approximate cost of dinner for two be?
Is there a better choice of restaurant, given that we would like a riverside location and have a quality Thai meal in attractive surroundings accompanied by Thai music and/or dancing?

Sala Thip has a nice setting but the food%26#39;s not brilliant-especially for around B1500pp plus drinks.If you%26#39;re keen to dine at one of the riverside hotels try the Oriental%26#39;s Thai restaurant the Rim Nam Terrace.Great views/food/service.Roughly same price as ST.
