vaccinations

Hi all

Just wondering, being a first time overseas traveller what vaccinations are required for travel to bangkok and phuket?

Also anyone have good advice as to who to go with for health insurance.

Greatly Appreciated

Hi Beach-luver

Vaccinations are really a personal thing.

We have recently spoke to our local travel Doctor to see what he recommended as we are due to flyout 20/9, we had also spoke to recent travellers to see what they did and watched this forum to gain further info.

Following that we decided to be on the safe side we would get the needle, actually it was needles and ouch not only did the needles hurt the bill at the chemist was A$700+, luckly we have recently signed up with wellness cover and our medical fund paid $400(note that is for 2 adults and 2 children).

Many people will say its not required but we look at its only a few dollars to be on the safe side

Regards

Trevor

Hi Beach lover,

The safest way to deal with this is go see your GP.

You will get all sorts of responses on this forum from its a waste your money, to take everything that you can, and i am sure everyone%26#39;s intentions are all good but in the end its up to you. Some shots are good for 3 years, some for 20 years etc so it pays to get advice from your doctor

For the cost of a visit to your GP it will be worth your while at least knowing you have peace of mind.

Cheers, Pete.

Thanks a lot for your recommendations guys its very much appreciated. Sounds painful and expensive but i%26#39;ll take both of your advice and see my gp.

Thanks again
