Need some help please

Only 3 weeks till we leave and we%26#39;re now on the sticky subject of how best to take money.Travellers cheques (had a bad experience in Oman where no one would exchange except hotel where rates were really bad!!) credit card or cash (not happy with that one really)We have 5 nights in Bangkok and 10 nights in Cha Am where I guess we%26#39;d go to Hua Hin to change travellers cheques.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Have a good day all.regards seagull6

Hi,I stayed in Cha Am for the second time in March.I took travellers cheques for emergencies-but didn%26#39;t need them, about GBP100 in Thai bahts and then relied on cash machines. There an atm in the shopping area of the Regent hotel and also one in the village. However, I would have been quite happy to take all cash as ,even in Bangkok ,I felt really safe.(normal precautions of course).I always thingktravellers cheques are a bit of a pain-as it means carrying your passport as well,so if the worst happens you have a double whammy!! Hope that helps.
