Am flying off there tomorrow - am quite worried after reading Supeduper%26#39;s report.

Yes - have to say its been overcast for a number of days...it did get sunny this morning and hot then just plain ol overcast %26amp; windy...still warm though!! %26amp; still relaxing....hope that helps:)

Thanks for your reply. Went to Maldives last year and had a week of poor weather - the second week was great though. Surely can%26#39;t be that unlucky two years on the trot. Am staying at Bo Phut resort, just hope there%26#39;s some sunshine at some point during the two weeks I%26#39;m there.

we are also heading out on sept 8th. we were in bkk and samui last year for the same time. only saw heavy rain on the last day of our trip in bkk. most days it would rain for a little while almost every day but not until late afternoon - i only remember getting drenched one night when the main street on chaweng flooded. it was sunny a few days but to be honest it was nicer when it was cloudy - still v hot and managed to get burnt through the clouds tho! any questions just ask

Must say, the weather ain%26#39;t good anywhere in Thailand at the moment (as I type this in BKK it is absolutely bucketing down). Samui,so far this year, according to a friend who has been living there for 22 years says he can%26#39;t remember so many rainy/cloudy days. Now this could possibly mean that the island is soon set for a long periods of settled weather, or weather patterns are even more messed up than we all thought. It certainly would be a toss-up (no pun intended) as to whether Thailand or Wimbledon could get the tournament finished at the moment.Remember- even on what are considered bad weather days on Samui the sun will poke through long enough,the rain will ease off, and a sun tan is pretty much guranteed.

Thanks you have made me feel a little better - read one post yesterday on here very negative about KS and it ruined my day. Sometimes you can get too much information on Internet. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Samui is fab and you will love it rain or shine.

People forget that you can still get burnt under that cloud cover. It%26#39;s got to be better than the UK at the moment. Having said that we were in Samui for a month in May and had loads and loads of rain and then came home to the weather here/ I am very brown but it is rust !!

is it the same type of weather around Koh Phagnan and Koh Tao?
