If you had US$200 a night...

If you had US$200 (or less!) per night (including breakfast) to spend on accommodation in Phuket in November.....where would you stay?

Must have:

1. Quiet and not too crowded

2. Nice beach

3. Big pool

4. Local restaurants closeby

We have previously stayed at Twinpalms on Surin beach and loved it, but won%26#39;t go back this year because of the reports of heavy construction noise....

Any ideas much appreciated!!

Tricky one! The Evason might be worth a look, although you%26#39;ll have to trek into Chalong or Rawai for local restaurants. sadly virtually all beaches are now very developed, with numerous sprawling suburbanesque hotels.

You might be better off looking at Kao Lak if decent beach is a big consideration. Sarojin might have some deals and certainly ticks all the boxes. The Meridien is v big but has great pools. Both on superb beaches. Hope this helps.

Thanks - will check them out. Have stayed at Evason before and liked it, but the steps do get tiring in the heat after a few days ;-)

We are staying at Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort in October. It has a quiet, private beach, huge pool and is only a 5 minute tuktuk/taxi ride away from Patong. We haven%26#39;t been before but my sister stayed there last year and said it was fantastic.
