Twinpalms & Construction

A few of the reviews of the Twinpalms have mentioned that there is loud construction going on on either side of the hotel. We are thinking of going there in August, does anyone know if the construction has or will be finished by then??

Twinpalms %26amp; Construction

Hi KJ26

We stayed at the Twin Palms in April this year. We had a great time and the hotel is beautiful, and very relaxing. Yes, there is construction, and it starts early morning and goes quite late. We chose not to focus on it.

To answer your question, from what we saw, it didnt look like the construction was going to be finished any time soon. At least several months more work. But, that is just our opinion.... we couldn%26#39;t say for sure. I%26#39;d say that there would be a high chance of it still continuing in August.

If you think the noise will bother you, I would book elsewhere, just to be safe.

Twinpalms %26amp; Construction

Thanks cintra, I think we might look at staying elsewhere. I am sure the construction is not unbearable but we plan on spending a lot of time at the hotel relaxing, so you are right, better to be safe %26amp; book something else!

Hi KJ,

We stayed there earlier this year too and there is construction in most towns in Phuket. And there was work next door. There seems to be a lot of development going on all around Phuket. But it usually finishes in the afternoons...

But the Twin Palms is just so good I wouldn%26#39;t let it bother you. Besides, you can leave the hotel and go to their beach club to relax on the beautiful clean beach and their comfy sun loungers - not to mention the food and drink service direct to your sunlouger as well as showers and toilets right there!

Honestly it was heaven on a stick!

Just pre-booked on asiarooms.com for mid august and they sent us a warning that there was construction going on just outside the hotel. We%26#39;re currently contemplating wether we will go ahead with the booking but are leaning towards not...

I must agree with a previous posting. I am afraid there is an awful lot of construction going on in Phuket.Just north of Surin beach is the long and-up to recently pristine-Bang Tao beach where we have been staying for a number of years now.

We have been shocked to see the number of new developments, just within the last two years (both hotels and villas/apartments).It was also interesting to see in the local press/tourism publications the mushrooming of offers on recently built (or projected) developments.

Next to one of the wings of the hotel we have been staying in (and love) they are building one of these developments.I would advise you to investigate the layout of the establishment and try to book a room as far as possible from the noisy work (If the place is big enough).

Thanks for all the advice guys. As much as we%26#39;d love to check out the Twinpalms we%26#39;ve decided not to stay there. Not knowing just how loud %26amp; constant the noise is, we%26#39;d just rather not take the risk. We are thinking of Karon beach at the moment.

Does anyone know if there still is constuction goining on next to the hotel?

We are thinking of going to Twinpalms in november and are looking for a quiet holiday.

/Cinna

Hi Cinna,

Just wondering if you got any answers as to whether there is construction ongoing around Twinpalms or not at the moment. We are also looking for a 2 weeks holiday at end of November - stayed at Twinpalms last year and loved it, but don%26#39;t want to go again if it is really noisy....

Has anyone been there in the last few weeks?

Tasha :-)
