Romantic not too expensive place at Hua Hin

Hi Monica,

I%26#39;d like to get your ideas on a hotel near the beach but not so in a remote area which is good value for money.

Also am not looking for a very expensive one (may be around THB5000 max a night) but would like a boutique style romantic hotel. should be near to other restaurants too..

Depends Chanaka exactly what time of yar you are going, what is THB 1,900 in September could be 5,000 in December, what is 3,500 in October could be 6,000 on January.

So do tell us what time of year.

I think Wora Bura is lovely and romantic, some regular are staying within the next few days so we can look for their updated opinions, Woa Bura is not boutique, perhaps around 70 rooms but has a somewhat %26#39;couples/romantic%26#39; atmosphere. Also near to some lovely romantic restaurants. Until end of October certainly good value for money.

The Sofitel and Anantara are always good choices, whether within your price range again depends entitrely on the season. You can be right in town or within 5-7 minutes of town, I would only suggest that you note that many hotels and resorts around Pak Nam pran and pranburi are offered as %26#39;Hua hin%26#39; but are in fact Pranburi area whcih is a good 30/35-40 minutesd away.

Oh, and please don%26#39;t just think fo my opinions, please do considor other optinions also, there are not that many posts on this side of the forum but others have plenty of ideas and suggestions for Hua hin so please also think about opinions of others, we all like different things, thanks goodness, and opinions do varey so much, so do browse through other recomendations too.

I am trvaveling in begining of September. So thats the low season right? wat do you think about the hotel Lets Sea?

Have checked it out and it looks nice. Also since its low season do i have to book well in advance or 2weeks before would do?

Traveling from BKK to Hua Hin is not that difficult right? I should be able to take a taxi from APT without difficulty? Also do you know appox cost of a taxi?

If its possible can you suggest a reliable online booking site? there are so many...

1600 baht...book after you get your bags and get outside customs...same company and cheaper.

We stayed in the Wora Bura for two weeks in Jun/Jul 07 and it was excellent. No construction worries, great service and food, and the facilities perfect for a relaxing holiday. Good value out of season as well. Let Sea is right beside the Wora Bura, and has an excellent restaurant which is accessable by the public. The rooms are to the rear of the restaurant and are nowhere near as good as the Wora Bura.
