10 hours to kill

We are arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 5.50am and aren%26#39;t leaving for Phuket until 4.00pm. We are planning on spending a few hours in the city.

We are hoping to check our bags straight away for our Phuket flight, but if we cant is there anywhere we can leave them for the day at the airport?

What is the best way to get in to town and how much should we expect to pay?

How long will it take to get back to the airport, we are thinking of leaving Bangkok at 2pm. Is this enough time to get back to the airport or will the traffic be really heavy at this hour.

there is a storage section at the airport where you can leave your bags i think its something like 100baht per item or maybe a little more for a bigger bag/suitcase.

traffic is very hetic. 2pm should give you enough time to get back.i%26#39;m
