Taxis from airport

I am travelling to Koh Samui early next year and will be taking a taxi to the Fairhouse Beach Resort.

Any advice on prices etc.

Not sure where exactly your hotel is located..try www.samuishuttleservice..They offer reasonable rates..

a taxi should be pretty cheap as your hotel is quite close to the airport.

last january i got a taxi from my hotel in lamai to the airport for 450 baht.

upon arrival they will try it on with the price as the taxi drivers on samui never use their meters.

by looking at a map i would say 250-300 baht should do-it,try and get it for 250 though.

just a thought have you checked with your hotel as somes they offer a collection service or will have a taxi waiting for you,save on the haggle and should be a good price.

Fairhouse Beach Resort is at Chaweng Noi.I wouldn`t say it`s close to the airport but is only probably a 15 min drive depending on traffic through Chaweng.I suppose everything is close to the airport as the island isn`t that big!!!!

Prices probably around 400 Baht in a metered (hahahaha) taxi if you use these agree on a price before you move.

There is a transfer service in the arrivals terminal around 100 -150 baht pp.This is a mini van but the van won`t leave until it`s full and depending on the drop offs you could be in the van for an hour.

There are also locals offering rides in their vans %26amp; cars as you walk out of the terminal.I `ve used this method plenty of times bit prices do vary so again agree on a price.Just barter with them if you don`t like the price move along to the next person.You would probably look at around 200 pp to Chaweng Noi.

Alternatively you could arrange a transfer through Fairhouse email them sales@fairhousesamui.com I `m not a big fan of hotel transfers as I find them expensive %26amp; unreliable.
