Good hotels on Chaweng Beach

Hello,

We are looking for a good mid-range (up to $100) hotel on Chaweng Beach. It will be our last night in Thailand and we want to be close enough to town to party but also stay in a nice romantic hotel. Beach front would be nice but not necessary. Any suggestions?

We are going to be in Koh Samui in January 2008. We can spend up to $150 a night but would like to spend less than $100 if possible.

From the middle of January is a high period before that it`s a peak period most resorts charge way over.My opinion these days is most resorts on Chaweng Beach charge overs all year round.

Baan Chaweng is a nice resort.One I like %26amp; have recommended with good feedback is Banana Fan Sea Resort on Chaweng Beach(towards the southern end)Good spot, nice beach, good selection of restaurants in the general area %26amp; close enough to walk or a 5 min songtaew ride to the main party area of Chaweng. Rates are around 130 $US.I don`t know if it`s romantic hotel, for me a romantic hotel is what my G/F or now wife make it.For what I think could be classified a ';Romantic Hotel'; I think you`d have to go over what your budget is something like Buri Rasa www.burirasa.com would fit the bill.
