Quiet time!

Hey,

We are thinking of heading to Phuket as part of our honeymoon and are looking for suggestions for where to go and where to stay. Looking for somewhere lovely ( obviously) and quiet-ish to stay. Any suggestions? Have heard that Phuket is very busy, or are there quieter areas? And if you can reccommend anywhere else...krabi, ko phi phi or lanta etc. please do.....all suggestions would be a great help as it%26#39;s hard to know where to go when looking on the net, it all looks great! Thanks for the help!

Quiet time!

Have a look at Katathani it is right on beach only resort at Kata Noi

You have a couple of resturuants outside or go over the hill to Kata for a wide selection of resturuants and shoping if you want go into Patong too the night llfe a tuk tuk or taxi is about 300-350 bht.

Mom Tri%26#39;s also has had good reviews for quiet destination just up the hill from Katathani. Hope this helps Happy Honeymoon. Bez

Quiet time!

Hi Solewoman I thought you would have had a lot of suggestions. If you put honeymoon in the search there are a lot of suggestions for you to read on this subject good luck Bez.

Hi Solewomen we have just come back from Phuket on our honeymoon. Top choice for destination. As for quiet if you read my reviews we stayed in Patong but south so there wasn%26#39;t any bars near the hotel and so was quiet but if we wanted to go out it was only 10 min walk up the road.

On our trips we saw one hotel / resort between Paton and Karon beech that has it%26#39;s own private beech. Sorry not sure what the name of it was but i suppose even there you would be able to get the hotel to sort out transport and would definetly be quiet and private for you.

Hi Solewoman

We just came back and we stayed at the Sunset Beach Hotel. It was at the end of the beach, very quiet. Nothing too flash but clean and breakfast included which was pretty good, but every now and then hit and miss. There is a free shuttle that the hotel offers to take you to the main street which runs every half an hour (and back of course which you pick up where they drop you off). All in all it is quiet but not too far from the action should you choose to. The service was pretty good, but i found them to be quite young and very shy, but happy to help when you ask. The beach is not a swimming beach but there is a great pool you can laze around in.

I am sure you will enjoy your time in Phuket wherever you choose to stay.

Vicky

Le Meridien Resort is a good place to honeymoon. 4 Star resort, allfacitilites, private beach, great restaurants, everything you could want. Only 5 minutes from centre of town.

I stayed here for a family wedding and found the staff to be friendly, the rooms lovely and a great location
