Yaang Come Village or Baan Oripin B&B

If you have stayed at either of these two in the last couple of months would love to hear back from you.

We are in Chiang Mai late August for 4 nights

I have read a couple of reports that there is alot of construction going on around the Yaang Come- please let me know if you stayed there and if it was that bad

Also have heard conflicting stories whether or not there now is a pool at the Baan Oripin- please let me know

Lastly, if you have a tour operator to suggest to go with on the Long neck tribe tour

Thanks

Deanne

It was like paradise just outside the bustling city.

The pool is open!

We stayed in a junior suite.

Make sure you book early!!

I can%26#39;t comment on Yang Come. We stayed at Baan Orapin for about 8 nights in July and I can%26#39;t fault anything about it. It was immaculately clean, the room was spacious, the staff charming and the price was good. I really liked the location, although be aware that it is a 15 minute walk to the night market and Old City, if that is a concern for you. There is a pool. There are some excellent eateries nearby (although alas, we never tried them as it always turned out that we had big lunches during our day tours). I hope to stay there again, if I ever get the chance to visit Chiang Mai again.

Hi ya..We hired a tuk tuk for the day and anek the tuk tuk driver took us up to see the long neck tribe..Just in the hills out side C/M..on entering the villge you have to pay...Do not know we were coned at all but it cost a 1000 baht each...but well worth it in the end..as you can walk aroung the vilage with ease with the guide and ask question and take as meny pitchurs of the long neck girls as you like...There are some pichures on my webb site to see the village....Chris
